Embracing the imaginative world that is film, the directors created a universe that visualizes the complex impact of film — an impact which is immeasurable. That visual universe highlights how the beauty of film can't be weighted in fictional digits, number or meters.
The universe exists out of analogue measuring equipment, close-ups of the human body and animated graphs that emphasize intricate imaginary psychological reactions. The analog art direction was emphasized with abstract analog sound design.
The custom made soundtrack, with a jazzy feel referencing the 60's inspired style of art direction, was composed by the creator of the sound design too. The music follows the movement of the film, adds tension and build up and blends the scenes and sound design together to form an intriguing 5.1 surround sound cinema mix of all the elements.

Cineville is an on- and offline platform to stimulate cinema visits to quality filmtheaters throughout The Netherlands. Their primary mission is to excite people about cinema, promoting local cinemas and connect to a new audience of film visitors. The product that they’re most known for is the “Cinevillepas”, a monthly membership that gives you unlimited access to selected quality cinemas
The main goal of their new campaign is to get more people to the cinema. People love film, but they do not go often enough. How do we bring these people to the cinema?
Films move you. That’s the starting point of the campaign. Films have the power to immerse, to touch, enrich and entertain. With the statement “Films move you”, Cineville wanted a 45-second campaign film that surprises, makes one curious, triggers your imagination and convinces through imagery rather than text.
The music and sound design had to form the backbone of the spot and had to emphasize the moving images. Abstract, analog sounds and a music track that followed the storytelling and required a build up in tension, had to be created for the film.
