Designpolitie created a template based on a person’s portrait, which could be modified depending on the topic. The event ‘CommeUne’ was about the individual and the society, how one influences the other. Here we used anonymous individuals, and designed their faces with images of crowded cities.
For the edition ‘Out Of State’, which was about the situation of refugees starting a new life, we used portraits of actual refugees living in Amsterdam, and enhanced their anonymity by replacing their faces by non existing maps.
