ADVERTISING – FILM / NOMINATION
The jury was enthusiastic about various aspects of this film with regard to the storyline and the way it was filmed and edited, all very well done. As a viewer, you have no idea where it is going. Moreover, the makers have dared to lose the clichés of a Christmas film in form and style. All over the world, Christmas movies have now become a Superbowl for brands - Plus have taken a very refreshing stance on the subject matter - where a family comes just in time to celebrate the birth of the family Christmas child. The story is told well and funny partly due to the editing. In short, an idea and execution that leaves most Christmas films behind.
The jury's opinion was that the idea lagged slightly behind the execution. In particular, the sequence of the scenes ensured that the story is told in an entertaining and witty way. In any case, the most striking Christmas film this year. A justified nomination.
