The Dutch creative trade mission ‘Embassy of Dutch Creativity’ announces the program for the Cannes Lions Festival. During three days there will be speakers from Vodafone, 72andSunny Amsterdam, MediaMonks, Wanderbrief, Talpa, Wink and J. Walter Thompson Amsterdam. Besides the short talks and presentations, there will be a special performance by Douwe Bob this years Eurovision Song Festival contender for the Netherlands and a special Virtual Reality experience for the festival attendees.

It’s the second year that Dutch creative trade mission is present during the Cannes Lions Festival. The mission is to promote and celebrate Dutch creativity and connect Dutch creative agencies with international partners or talent.

The ‘Embassy of Dutch Creativity’ is will take place in the IAA Global Cabana, near Palais des Festival in Cannes. The program is developed especially for international talent, potential business partners and international press, so they can learn more about the best Dutch cases and creative talent or agencies. This will also be the location where there will be a celebration for the Dutch Cannes Lions winners.

The Next Rembrandt

On Wednesday J. Walter Thompson Amsterdam presents ‘The Next Rembrandt’, a beautiful case and nominated for a Lion. Wesley ter Haar (Media Monks) is Jury President for the category ‘Digital Craft’ he will share his vision the theme 'Digital Innovation'. And we have a short talk with Vodafone about ‘The Smart Jacket’ case.

Douwe Bob

Thursday is themed ‘Creative Leadership’, 72andSunny Amsterdam, Wanderbrief and THNK will take stage. Followed by a special performance of Douwe Bob, known for winning several prestigious music awards, creating highly contagious songs and his stellar performances at the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm this year. Finally, on Friday we have Talpa and Wink will inspire with their thoughts on ‘Brands & Entertainment’.

VR Silent Disco

During the festival attendees can participate in the VR Silent Disco and experience the 'Dutch Dance Experience’. This was made possible through inan unique collaboration between; DigitasLBi, Amp.Amsterdam, DPDK and Samsung. Further, our partner Join the Pipe will distribute water bottles with Amsterdam tap water. With the campaign #LikeaDutchie the Embassy wants to create awareness of the Dutch culture and our typical Dutch mentality and collaborative 'way-of-working’.

The initiative is organized by IAA Dutch Chapter, Digital Design, ADCN, Dutch Digital Agencies, Orange Lions and VEA. The identity is created by Dog and Pony. Addikt is resposbile for the production of the animation videos and the interior design of the cabana is developed by Wink.
