Has the bubble burst?
'Almost from the moment NFT mania hit, many commentators speculated that we were in the midst of a bubble. All the signs were there: breathtaking news coverage, celebrity involvement, eye-watering sums paid for commodities whose value let alone utility appeared questionable... The big question is how sustainable is the NFT model?' – Lawrence Wintermeyer, Forbes. Has the NFT bubble burst? Will it be an idea that lingers or has the wave of popularity already passed?

‘I’m always looking for the perfect balance between abstract and figurative images: I like the idea that viewers get attracted to the colours and shapes, but don't immediately recognise what they’re looking at. There is excitement within imagination.’ – Dewy Elsinga aka Butterfingaz
A huge thank you to artist Dewy Elsinga for being our ninth FRONTIER and the Cover Artist of The Sticky Issue. As an artist whose visual style incorporates colourful patterns, shapes and drawings layered on top of one another, for this Issue, Dewy's piece was inspired by Indian ink ‘sticking’ to the paper when creating brushstrokes. Check out our interview with Dewy below to find out more about this work and her artistic practice.
