These are the 2024 Finalists

Today ADCN announces the finalists for the 2024 Dutch Creativity Awards. The jury panels selected 156 Finalists from 550 Entries. Compared to last year, the number of categories and jury panels has been scaled back. This would allow the panels to compare more critical cases with each other. The high number of finalists for 2024 is therefore striking, but according to the juries, the level of the work is so high that every finalist deserves their place. Whether the high number of finalists will result in a rain of prizes will be announced on Wednesday, May 8 in Theater Amsterdam.

The full overview of the finalists can be found here.

The jury sessions, which took place this year at ADCN agency partner Dentsu Creative Amsterdam, were made possible by the efforts of 114 jury members, each with unique expertise in different creative disciplines. The jury members represent the creative industry and have previously found their way to the prestigious Lamps themselves.

Some notable projects that stand out because of the number of nominations include 'Culers del Món / Patta, Nike, FC Barcelona' by HALAL (nominated 7 times), 'Stukje van mij / KPN' by Dentsu Creative Amsterdam/Wefilm (nominated 7 times). ) and 'Ken je Borsten' by TBWA\NEBOKO (nominated 7 times). The latter achieved the highest number of final places this year, with 11 additional nominations for various projects.

This year the categories are divided into the main disciplines Advertising, Design, Craft and Next. Both entries and finalists scored the highest within the Advertising category. Within this discipline, the creative idea is central. What is striking is the number of Film & Video (Advertising) and Film Direction (Craft), Editing (Craft), Production Design (Craft) and Young Directors (Next) entries that were judged by 1 panel.

“Our jury needed a very long day to thoroughly assess everything, because more than a hundred cases were submitted. It is wonderful to be able to judge craft and a lot of craftsmanship is made in the Netherlands, fortunately sometimes also with good budgets. The Young Directors category was also very important to us. At the same time, we found the concepts that were really 'outstanding' creatively and really did something new with film/video to be quite limited. Nevertheless, we were able to award gold, silver and bronze with conviction.”

— Roel Welling (Wefilm), Jury President Film
